Tour Highlights

Visit the highlights of Venice as well as areas of the so-called hidden Venice. The tour features St. Mark's Square, the interior of St. Mark's Basilica, the exterior of the Doge's Palace, and the exterior of the tower clock. Then journey through the hidden Venice to see other important gems of the city, including enchanting piazzas with outstanding palaces, quaint bridges, and narrow passageways. Finally your guide will lead you to another famous Venice landmark, the Rialto bridge, where your tour will conclude.

Visit St. Mark's Square and learn the history that lies behind the walls of its most famous landmarks: The Basilica and its Byzantine heritage, the exterior of the Doge's Palace and its adjoining prisons. Discover how a city built on swamps became one of the most enlightened cities in the western world.

Then leave the square and crowds behind to discover the "real Venice." Enter a labyrinth of narrow passageways and alleys where an enchanting city of meandering canals is punctuated by delicate bridges. Explore the lively Campo Santa Maria Formosa with its outstanding Gothic palaces. At the "Scuola" di San Marco learn about the famous trade schools of Venice that provided the foundations of the great mercantile empire.

Through the sights and historical narrations, learn how illustrious Venetians, the likes of Marco Polo as well as more common citizens, made this city of stone a vibrant and magical place. See Marco Polo's house and enjoy tales of this legendary globe-trotting Venetian.

Admire the Church of San Giovanni e Paolo, "the Pantheon of Venice," then enter an old merchant's warehouse and see the most beautiful well-head in Venice. Discover how Venice is today and what it's like to live in this unique but often impratical city. Your tour finishes near the Rialto bridge.

Important Note:

• Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes prior to the tour.
• Dress code: Shoulders and knees must be covered to enter St. Mark’s Basilica. Large bags and rucksacks are not allowed into the church.
• The tour operates rain or shine.
• St. Mark’s Basilica is sometimes closed to the public due to high water or ceremonies in the church. During high water periods the tour will take place, but it may be modified because of conditions.

Your ticket (voucher) will be delivered online. Paper tickets are not required. Your voucher is the proof of booking and settlement. You must print it and present it at the address or meeting point listed on your voucher. You will have access to our voucher desk through a secure link provided in your order confirmation email.

Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy

Booking cancellations are VALID only when made through us by email at customer@conciergerie.com or by fax at +376 826 770. You can change your reservation date at no charge if you notify us at least fifteen (15) days before service. If you cancel your reservation and you notify us at least nince (9) days before service, there is a 20% cancellation fee. Between 4 and 8 days before service, 60% cancellation fee. After this time no refunds can be made. Cancellation fees will not be waived for any reason, however, they may be covered by travel insurance. We *highly* recommend that you have insurance with *adequate* coverage, including Force Majeure.
