Detailed Description

Passing by the Piazza Barberini with the Triton Fountain by Bernini, you will reach Saint Mary Major (visit), the most beauti­ful basilica dedicated to Mary Mother of Christ, with gorgeous mosaics and the relics of Jesus's cradle. Continue to the Basilica of St. John Lateran (visit), the cathedral of Rome and the first Papal residence, with masterpieces from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period. Stop at the Holy Stairs. Continue through the first part of the Appian Way, with a view of the Domine Quo Vadis Chapel, then arrive at the Catacombs (Domitilla or St. Callixtus), the ancient underground cemeteries showing the extraordinary faith of the early Christians. The tour ends with a panoramic view of the Caracalla Thermal Baths. Return to hotels or nearest point.

Important note: Shorts and uncovered shoulders are not permitted in churches.

Your ticket (voucher) will be delivered online. Paper tickets are not required. Your voucher is the proof of booking and settlement. You must print it and present it at the bus terminal located at the address listed on the voucher. Booking changes and cancellations are VALID only when made through us by email at customer@conciergerie.com or by fax at +376 826 770. You can change your reservation date at no charge if you notify us at least four (4) days before your arrival. If you cancel your reservation and you notify us at least five (5) days before your arrival, there is a 20% cancellation fee. After this time no refunds can be made. Prices are valid only when departing from Rome. We apologize in advance for departures or returns that are delayed due to unusual traffic problems. Cancellation fees will not be waived for any reason, however, they may be covered by travel insurance. We *highly* recommend that you have insurance with *adequate* coverage, including Force Majeure.
