Detailed Description

After crossing the Aurelian Walls and the Park of Villa Borghese, you will arrive at the Vatican Museums. During the visit you will admire the Candelabra Gallery, the beautiful Tapestry Gallery, the interesting cartographic study in the Maps Gallery, the Raphael Rooms, entirely frescoed by the Master, and above all, the Sistine Chapel, where Popes are elected, with the famous Genesis and Last Judgement by Michelangelo, recently restored. Return to hotels or nearest point.

You can combine the Artistic Rome Tour with the Ancient Rome Tour and enjoy lunch in a typical mediterranean cooking restaurant including pasta, meat and vegetables and drinks, wine and water (included). The combined tour duration is about 9 hours.

Important note: Shorts and uncovered shoulders are not permitted in churches. Backpacks, umbrellas, and metal objects are not allowed in museums.

"Content of the tour was great. The tour director would move off and not tell everyone that she was moving on. Consequently people would not know where they were supposed to be. Having a backpack put in storage and having to go right back to the beginning of the tour to retreive it was a real pain within the timeframe to catch the return bus."

"The guide we had for the Artistic tour was excellent. She knew her stuff really well and pointed out all the best places to take pictures from. Hugely worthwhile tour. Lunch was a let down. The food was very average and not much flavour. The Ancient tour was conducted by an older guy who was a cranky old b**t**d. He was great! he added humour and brought the history to life very well indeed. The tour was great, although I would have preferred a smaller group. There was about 40-50 of us, which meant it was quite hard to get some decent photos without some idiot stepping in the way."

Your ticket (voucher) will be delivered online. Paper tickets are not required. Your voucher is the proof of booking and settlement. You must print it and present it at the bus terminal located at the address listed on the voucher. Booking changes and cancellations are VALID only when made through us by email at customer@conciergerie.com or by fax at +376 826 770. You can change your reservation date at no charge if you notify us at least four (4) days before your arrival. If you cancel your reservation and you notify us at least five (5) days before your arrival, there is a 20% cancellation fee. After this time no refunds can be made. Prices are valid only when departing from Rome. We apologize in advance for departures or returns that are delayed due to unusual traffic problems. Cancellation fees will not be waived for any reason, however, they may be covered by travel insurance. We *highly* recommend that you have insurance with *adequate* coverage, including Force Majeure.
